Travel to the shelter in Huanuco, Peru takes place during the summer months (Peru's winter). The trips are about 8 days long and the cost is $2,400.
Travelers come alongside survivors of sexual abuse by performing building maintenance and improvements as well as offering encouragement to the staff and residents. Staying at the on-site farmhouse also supports the shelter financially.
Recovering Hope has had a relationship with the staff on the ground in Peru since 2012. Don’t underestimate the value of joining in partnership with the shelter. You will be changed and your world view will be changed.
